Since 1984, The Building Materials Control Center Ltd. laboratory has been authorized in accordance to perform tests on building materials and issue relevant certificates required for the testing practices of reinforced concrete structures in accordance with Art. 20 Law 1096/71 by the Ministry II.TT. Over the years it has gradually expanded the range of services and currently offers structural surveys of buildings, inspections and tests of soil, natural and recycled aggregates, asphalt prefabricated elements, etc. It has been recognized by Friuli Venezia Giulia as a highly qualified research laboratory in the field of building materials and the physical and mechanical tests of soils and aggregates. Since 2006 it has officially been certified as a soil testing and certification laboratory in accordance with Art. 59 of the DPR 06/06/2001 #380.
As certified by the National Agency of Components and Products Certification (Notified Body #0302), the management of Building Materials Control Center Ltd. complies with the requirements of UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008. The laboratory premises consists of a surface area of 900 square meters plus external appliances, and has a wide array of calibrated equipment. It has a fleet of vehicles equipped for on-site activities as well, and has performed tests and inspections on site, structural investigations in civil and military public works (roads, bridges, airports, buildings of all kinds) and in private (civil, industrial, commercial).
